Video: What is a Faculty Mentor?

The Woodrow Wilson Academy has faculty and staff members standing ready to make sure every teacher candidate is well supported in working through the program. Among these resources are the Faculty Mentors. Since the WW Academy doesn’t have traditional classes or courses, the roles of its faculty have been reimagined to better suit the learning of master’s candidates.

In this video, Andrew Wild describes what his role looks like as the Faculty Mentor in Science. As the resident expert in science content and an experienced educator himself, Dr. Wild provides feedback, coaching, and counseling as teacher candidates earn their licensure in science and work through the Academy’s program.
