Video: Faculty as Coaches, Facilitators, and Mentors

The Woodrow Wilson Academy has faculty and staff members standing ready to make sure every teacher candidate is well supported in working through the program. Among these resources are the Faculty Mentors. Since the WW Academy doesn’t have traditional classes or courses, the roles of its faculty have been reimagined to better suit the learning of master’s candidates.

In this video, Julianna Stockton describes what her role looks like as the Faculty Mentor in Mathematics and how that complements the skills and experiences of other members of the staff. Each Faculty Mentor or staff member working with teacher candidates brings their own expertise and knowledge to the table as teacher candidates figure out their path to becoming a great teacher.
