Video: Challenge-Based Curriculum

The Woodrow Wilson Academy of Teaching and Learning’s degree program has a challenge-based curriculum. Instead of taking courses, WW Academy candidates complete a series of challenges. With each challenge, candidates are confronted with real-world issues teachers face in the classroom. To solve them, candidates must learn and practice a specific set of competencies—the skills, understandings, and dispositions they need to successfully lead their own classrooms from the very beginning of their careers.
